Sailing into their 2016 vintage, Fortune 1621 is a brand that’s become synonymous with value Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley.  With the Bump family at the helm, and a crew that include winemaker Brian Mox, who spent several vintages at Lewis Cellars, Fortune 1621 is clearly a voyage worth taking. The 2016 is strikingly concentrated, yet poised and balanced with a layers of crushed black fruits, freshly roasted coffee beans, dried violets with hints of blueberries.  At $30/btl, don’t miss this boat.
 
Billowing from more from 18 months in French and American oak barrels, the 2016 arose from carefully chosen vineyards throughout Napa Valley, each selected for their own unique characteristics which contribute to the final blend.  The 2016 is marked by it’s superior concentration, strong core and dusty tannins that are rarely found at this price…
